Investigation On Epidemiology And Control Of Milk Cow's Tuberculosis In Anding District, Dingxi City

The cow tuberculosis is a chronic,wasting zoonosis caused by Mycobacterium bovis and one of the most devastating diseases for cow farming.It is ranked as the kind 2 of animal epidemic disease in our country.Since the cattle tuberculosis had appeared at the Anding district in 1981,the disease occurred intermittently.Ever since 21 century,the occurrence and prevalence of the cow tuberculosis is becoming more severity in the area.From 1999 to 2003,the positive animal number of the yearly surveillance for cow tuberculosis was 1,2,5,6 and 4 respectively,and the positive rate was 1.05%,1.79%,1.98%,1.6% and 0.33%respectively.Before 2003,the average positive rate is 1.46%.The economic loss resulting for cow tuberculosis in 2002 was more than 400,000 yuans.In order to search for the occurrence reason and prevalence rule of cow tuberculosis,the epidemiology and control of cow tuberculosis in Anding district had been investigated by referring to original data, visiting experts,surveying indoors,and using the technology of pathogen identification and PPD allergic reaction.The main reason for the occurrence of cow tuberculosis in the area was that the government hadn't given enough support to the disease prevention.Because the warranty of funds,techniques and legal system was not enough,it resulted that the prevention,detection and surveillance technique for the cow tuberculosis were not implemented well and the disease was introduced into the area by importing the cows suffering tuberculosis.The character was the more import,the higher positive rate,The disease was sporadic,slighter clinic symptom and evident pathological changes.The test results showed that the result of PPD allergic reaction was directly related with the technique practice,PPD injection dose and the constitution of the cow,etc.All these factors could result in the fall of the result accuracy of PPD allergic reaction.According to this,an improved approach and the key point in practice were proposed.In view of the insufficient situation of the government attention,the law consciousness,and the fundamental facilities and equipments,the key precautions were proposed to control and eliminate the cow tuberculosis.It will supply the theoretical and practical basis for establishing the controlling project against the cow tuberculosis of Anding district.
