Based on field investigation and forest resource investigate data of 1985 and 1997, spatial analysis with GIS and a vary of statistical methods were used to examine forest dynamics in Caijiachuan Forestry Farm .Moreover through the Dem data the changing of forestry resources in twelve years has been placed on embody terrain. The major objective of the study was to summarize GIS methods in research of forestry resources changing. The findings increase the degree of depth and particular in forest resources changing research, and it can provide the scientific basis for forest management and forest protection and carrying out of NFPP.The main conclusions were as follows:1) Forest area increased in this region, however the growing stock of per hectare decreased rapidly; the overripe forest wither away quickly, the forest become younger; the overage cutting and rebirth lacking make the forest quality lower.2) The changing matrix implied that, barren area wither away wither away in the 12 years, it primarily become the conifer and shrubs. In the space scale, forest road impact notability affects on the changing; in the 1300m-1600m, the forest have the trend of becoming conifer forest.3) The plant species changing has the digression trend in elevation and slop, changing is obvious in positive aspects. The variety of age structure has the digression trend in the elevation and slope, but haven't obvious rule in slope.
