The body weight at every week of age, carcass traits and triglyceride(TG),cholesterin(CHO),high density lipoprutein(HDL),low density lipoprutein(LDL),very low density lipoprutein(VLDL),phosphor lipoprutein(PL) in plasma of Kunshan Sheldrake ducks at 9 weeks of age were measured. Kunshan sheldrake's growth law, correlation among the carcass traits and the relationship between plasma lipids and body fat deposit.The results showed that:1. Female ducks grew faster than that of male ducks in early days, but body weight of anaphase is opposition. Male duck's body weight is 1887.79g and female's is 1835.74g at 9 weeks of age, male duck's body weight is significantly higher than that of female. The relationship between postnatal weight and body weight of every week was decreasing with the week increasing, it indicated that Kunshan sheldrake's early weight had little influence on the body weight when they were slaughtered.2. Both logistic curve model and Gompertz curve model can well fit kunshan sheldrake's growth curve,the degree of fitting is more than 0.9878,but the Gompertz model is better in estimating the early body weight.3. Carcass weight(CW),semi-eviscerated yield weight(SEVW),eviscerated yield weight(EVW),leg muscle weight(LMW),leg muscle ratio(LMR) of males is higher than that of the females at 9 weeks of age, but it is not significant. Breast muscle weight(BMW) and breast muscle ratio(BMR) of males is lower than that of females. The female ducks have significantly higher carcass ratio(CR),SEVW,EVW than that of the males(P<0.01).The female ducks have significantly higher sebum weight(SW),the percentage of sebum(SP),abdominal fat weight(AFW),the percentage of abdominal fat(AFP)than that of male ducks(P<0.05). 4.The relationship among live weight before slaughter,CW,SEVW,EVW,BMW,LMW of Kunshan sheldrake was very significant(P<0.01). The relationship between the CR and SEVW,EVW is significant(P<0.01),too. In addition, the relationship between the ratio of semi-eviscerated yield(SEVR) and SEVW,EVW,LMW,CR is very significant(P<0.05 or P<0.01). The relationship between the ratio of eviscerated yield(EVR) and SEVW,EVW,LMW is significant(P<0.05).The relationship between BMR and other characters is significant(P<0.05). The relationship between LMR and live weight,CW,SEVW,EVW is negative significant(P<0.01).5.The SW(SP) shaw positive correlation significantly with live weight,CW,SEVW(SEVR),EVW(EVR)(P<0.01).AFW shaw positive correlation significantly with live weight,CW,SEVW(SEVR),EVW(EVR)(P<0.01),too. The correlation between AFP and live weight was not significant, but had positive correlation significantly with other characters(P<0.05).6. The CHO,HDL,VLDL,PL content in plasma of male ducks had significantly higher than that of females, LDL was very significantly higher than that of males, No significant difference was found between male and famale's TG,PL content in plasma. There was no significant crrelation between plasma TG,CHO,HDL,LDL,VLDL,PL and AFW,AFP,SW,SP.
