Studies On Flue-cured Tobacco Leaf Production Of Chinese Cigarette In Songxi

Production of tobacco leaves is the material basis for Chinese-style cigarettes. Developing processes of Chinese cigarettes were reviewed in this paper. The characteristics, current production situation of tobacco leaves and its problem of Chinese-style cigarettes were also analyzed.On the basis of the flue-cured tobacco production and quality actuality in Songxi county, problems that hobbled the developments of flue-cured tobacco for Chinese-style cigarettes in Songxi were pointed out as follows: (1) deteriorated ecological environment; (2) higher .cost but shorter comparative benefit; (3) lack of particular strain of flue-cured tobacco; (4) unreasonable cropping system; (5) scattered production placement; (6)shorter literacy of technological personals and tobacco farmer, lower technology level; (7) technology update slowly and Production level was not high ; (8) the lagged basic establishments and lower management level; (9) the quality of tobacco leaves and classing structure was not reasonable.The countermeasures for developments of flue-cured tobacco for Chinese-style cigarettes in Songxi were: (1) comparing and promoting of Fen-style flue-cured tobacco cultivars well; (2) strengthening the breeding of special tobacco cultivars;(3)perfecting tobacco seedling water culture and Commercialization; (4)Balancing Fertilization; (5) Managing tobacco field measures; (6) curing tobacco leaves well;(7) Inspecting tobacco leaves classing and grading before purchasing and purchasing according to the code; (8) appending tobacco field run by cigarette factory; (9) establishing the safeguard system of flue-cure tobacco production; (10) improving the technicians' knowledge level; (11) carrying out GAP management of high quality flue-cured tobacco leaves production.
