The economic traits of Liaoning new breed of cashmere goats, a special Chinese genetic resource, were analyzed in 120 animals by typing 13 microsatellite loci. The association between three economic traits (body weight, cashmere yield and fineness) in this new breed of goats and the marker genotypes were analyzed.⑴Thirteen microsatellites on the chromosome three, four and five were studied in this paper to detect their polymorphisms in the new breed of cashmere goats. At McM058,BMS1788,LSCV15,OarHH35,CSSM54,MAF070,MAF050,McM218,BMS1248,BM2830,ILSTS034 and LSCV25 loci, the number of alleles was 5,6,6,7,6,6,5,6,7,6,6,5 respectively and the number of genotypes was 9,12,9,15,11,9,10,11,8,9,10,7 respectively. INRA003 loci in all individuals showed monomorphism. Among these thirteen microsatellite loci, the others except INRA003 were high polymorphic(PIC>0.5).⑵Effects of twelve microsatellite loci on economic traits were analyzed by PROC GLM of SAS. Results were insignificant, but some favorable genotypes of loci which affected economic traits were found. AD and BE at BMS1788, BE and CF at OarHH35, BE and CE at MAF070, BD at MAF050, CD at BMS1248 were favorable genotypes for body weight. BE at McM058, AB at BMS1788, AE at LSCV15, BD and BF at OarHH35, AB at CSSM54, AD and BC at MAF050, BB and CD at BM2830, BC and CD at ILSTS034 were favorable genotypes for cashmere yield. BC at BMS1788, AB at OarHH35, EF at CSSM54, CE at MAF050, BC at BMS1248, BB and BC at LSCV25 were favorable genotypes for cashmere fineness.
