G. elata Bl. growing in mainly China and as the chinese traditional medicinal materials with a history of 2000 years. But the researches on the life history of G. elata Bl. only in 50 years. In this research, Small tuber of sexual G. elata f.glauca S.Chow from Province Yunnan and the seeds of G. elata f. elata from Yichang was selected to be research materials, climatic diversity of different altitudes (100-1500 metres)and control temperature as the trentment technology mainly to shortening three growth phases in the whole life history of G. elata Bl.:The first phase: the growing cycle from seeds to sexual small tuber; The second phase: the growing cycle from seeds to mature tuber; The third phase: the growing cycle from seeds to seeds; The results showed that the developmental phase: mature tuber--blossoming--seed-- immature tuber, was able to manipulated and fixed in any time and season, the growing cycle of mature tuber of G elata Bl. f.glauca S.Chow was shortened from 17 months to 7 months, the small stem tuber of G. elata f.glauca S.Chow was shortenedfrom 28 months to 17 months. The seeds of G elata Bl. f.glauca S.Chow growing period were shortened from 36 months to 24 months while the seeds of G.elatafelata from 24 months to less than15 months, but the good quality was kept. From this results, we can conclusion that: the time for the whole growing periods of G. elatafglauca S.Chow and G. elatafelata growing in natural environment and the seasonal period can be shortened from 24 months or 36 months (2 or 3 years) to 15 months.
