The Study About Crabapple Garden Planning

In this dissertation, the writer researches the origin and the development of the crabapple gardens, analyzes the current situation of the crabapple gardens and the feasibility of the crabapple garden construction. Focusing on the classification and application of the crabapples, making full use of the functions and characteristics of the crabapple gardens, the writer, on the basis of the botanical garden theory, puts forward the programming theory of the crabapple gardens and discusses the status and effects of the crabapple gardens in the construction of the urban views, combining with the urban development programming.The classification of botanical gardens originates from the Qin Dynasty and the Han Dynasty. As perfect combination and concentrating representation of horticultural technology and garden arts and, the collection and classification of botanical resources, the classified botanical gardens are of great value in admiration and science. Crabapple, with a wide varieties and a long cultivation history of over 2,000 years is grown in every part around China because of their strong life. They are traditional enjoyable flowers endued with plenteous cultural meanings. All those mentioned above, together with their unique verve, make it more demanding and challenging to construct crabapple gardens. As a part of the botanical garden, the crabapple garden not only inherits the property and characteristics of the botanical garden but also furthers and details the function of the botanical garden.This dissertation explains detailedly the classification and functions of the crabapple gardens and offers the elementary theory on the programming of the crabapple gardens based on the relevant theory on the design and aesthetic representation of gardens. This will fill the gap that, so far, there has been no systematic theoretic guide on the programming of the crabapple gardens.On the basis of the revision of the progress of the crabapple gardens, the analysis of the current situation of the crabapple gardens at home and abroad, the development prospect of the crabapple gardens is predicted in this dissertation. Through the comparison of the Crabapple-Cotoneaster Garden in Beijing Botanical Garden and the Crabapple Garden in Lake Mochou Park in Nanjing, the writer puts forward the fundamental theory and principle on the programming of the crabapple gardens, making full use of the basic and extension functions of the crabapple gardens and combining with the aforesaid theories and knowledge.After the analysis of the crabapple gardens, this dissertation explains how to classify the crabapple gardens by the area, the functions and the varieties, which helps to meet the demands at all levels on the design and construction of the crabapple gardens in different places.In addition, depending upon the theoretic research, the analysis of crabapple under current conditions and the advantages of the crabapple gardens in Hebei Province, the writer offers the practical programming ideas about the construction of the crabapple gardens in Xingtai, combining with the urban development programming. These ideas will promote the development of large integrating crabapple gardens in North China and are sure to be the first step to construct the land of crabapple in China.
