| We appreciate the flower attitude of crabapple in spring, come to view the countless fruits of crabapple in autumn. Crabapple is easy to adapt environments, and which is common used in modern landscape architecture. Chinese people have the custom to plant and appreciate crabapple since ancient times, moreover, derived various flower culture of crabapple forms. In order to carrying forward the flower culture of crabapple in China, it is essential to study the flower culture of crabapple further and systematic. This paper studied the flower culture of crabapple from below aspects:1. This paper studied the connotation of culture, clarified the definition of flower culture, recalled the development history of flower culture in China, and divided into four stages: the embryonic stage, the developing stage, the flourish stage, the inheritance stage.2. The appellation of crabapple class had been changed for many times in Chinese history. This paper made arrangement of the previous names of crabapple class, studied the time and intension of previous names of crabapple class. The name of"Haitang"appeared in the middle and later period of Tang Dynasty. This paper based on the economy and society condition in Tang Dynasty combined with modern scientific research , refuted the viewpoint of LiDeyu who thought that"Plants named by sea are from overseas", and put forward the view that crabapple originated in China.3. This paper studied the flower culture of crabapple in literature field, and divided it into five parts: allusion and legend, poetry, essay, novel, drama and video works, and introduced respectively. Furthermore, this paper studied the cases that are importance to the development of the flower culture of crabapple.4. This paper divided it into four parts to study the flower culture of crabapple in art field, studied the brief history about crabapple painting, crabapple in flower arrangement and bonsai, decorative pattern and style of crabapple in artworks, the flower culture of crabapple in landscape architecture and Crabapple Fair. |
