It belongs to the Huanghe River Flood plain, The natural calamities often happened such as sand wind, drought and flood in history.Now, there are 4,500,000 mu woodlands, 10,820,000 mu forests in farmlands,3500,000 mu intercrop of crop and paulownia. The ratio of forest to land is 30.8%. The retainable forest is 19,690,000 stere, it is about one fifth of total forest retainable in Shandong. The total production value of forest is 12 billion Yuan.It is one of city and the whole nation plain advanced unit in afforestation four criticize plain afforestation throughout the country reaching the standard.
