Cymbidium grandiflorium is a kind of highly ornamental Orchidaceae plant. It was propagated by means of offshoots trationally. With the development of modern biological technology, tissue culture could be gradually applied to it's propagation, which could greatly increased it's propagation coefficient. However, the programand medium of micropropagation should be simplified in order to reduce the cost in mass production.Tissue culture and rapid propagation of scap culture from Cymbidium hybidum, including'Empress',were systematically studied in order to search suitable medium and culture style. This study increased the survival rate Of induced propagation rate and decreased the cost, also established an economical and high effective technology system on rapid propagation.,Through the companson of the culture media, the amount of hormone, the cutting methods and the culture patterns,Study on stems culture and fast propagation of Cymbidium hybridum showed that the best initial medium is MS+6-BA 2.0 mg·L-1-1+NAA0.5 mg·L-1+ Sugar2%, and the best proliferation medium is MS + 6-BA1.0 mg·L-1+ NAA0.1 mg·L-1 +Sugar 2%, and propagate quotiety can up to 5.11, and the best suitable temperature is (22±1)℃,and the best suitsble illumination is 2000 lx,and the best medium of Protocorm-like bodies is MS + KT2.0 mg·L-1+NAA0.1 mg·L-1+Sugar2%,and the best medium of smallbud growth is MS +6-BA1.0 mg·L-1+NAA0.1 mg·L-1+ sugar 2%,and the rooting mediumis 1/2MS + NAA 0.5 mg·L-1+ Sugar 2%,and the optium transplantation medium is little brak+ little stone +coconut shell powder(1.5:1.5:1)and overshadow of 70% as March or April or October and the survival rate is over 80%. Therefore, a whole set of tissue culture and fast propagation method of Cymbidium hybridum have been formed.
