New Cultivation Modes Of Peach Trunk & Complimentary Cultivation Techniques Research

Peach tree is one of the quickest developing fruit trees in recent years. It became the fifth biggest production fruit in China in 2001 with the total cultivation area of 452,000km2 and the production of 456,000 tons, which ranked No. One in the world. It's impossible to make peach industry completely mechanical and industrialized since it's labor intensified and technique intensified industry. Labor cost and aging of farmers are becoming the limited factors of peach industry's development in addition to factors like breeding and technique. Low cost and labor saving cultivation mode will become the main developing trend in the future.Based on the comprehensive utilization of current techniques and research and development of new techniques, this Paper has conducted investigation, observation, exploration and research systematically. Comparing with traditional techniques, the outcome of new cultivation modes of peach trunk and complimentary cultivation techniques is more creative and more advanced.This Paper conducted research by selecting the intensity rate, trunk shape and control technique of peach cultivation applying to Henan Province. Comparing with traditional techniques, the outcome of new cultivation modes of peach trunk and complimentary cultivation techniques is more creative and more advanced.1. Main trunk shape only has central leading trunk which grows upward without side branches. The height of tree is around 2.5m with 1.0~1.5m diameter. There are 20~30 side branches evenly located around the central leading trunk. It's growing quickly and become a tree shape in that planting year and has yield in the next year and has a harvest in the third year. The average produce per mu is 1184kg in the second year and 4386kg the third year, and 5052kg the fourth year.2. Complimentary techniques:(1) Planting intensity: 1×2m in Henan. (2) Trimming: cut the central in the first year to make the trunk shape. In the second year, to cultivate reasonable tree shape by using certain fruit to control the tree shape. In the third year, trimming and renewing the tree shape and branches to make the output stable and renew strong branches.(3) Applying fertilizer: make conclusion about the times, quantity of applying fertilizer.(4) Plant growing moderation: the way of using multiple-effect azole (PP333), timing and using dose. 2~3 times with 500 multiple-effect azole, or 1 time with 1000 multiple-effect azole, which should be equal with 0.25g per m2.(5) Flower and fruit thinning: make conclusion of trimming period, strength and method.(6) Pest prevention: make conclusion of the common disease reasons and prevention principles, and figure out prevention parameter and period.
