The experiment had been carried out in Dongying Landscape Institute and Gardening Nursery from July, 2005 to August, 2007. Various garden plants had been studied in the cutting experiment of summer. In order to select the suiTablele cultivated garden plants of saline land and the optimal cutting propagation method, the main results were as follows:1. In the test, the main influencing factors of survival rate were temperature and humidity, reducing the seedbeds temperature by increasing the air humidity, as a result, it promoted the formation of callus, root growth and survival rate. The results indicated that air humidity of fourty-five to sixty percent and temperature of twenty-five to thirty-one was the best treament; it can effectively prevent cutting decay.2. With the increase of time, different substrate had various salt return velocities; the salt content of substrate had an ascending tendency. Sand which had not been isolated had the most salt return velocity. In the all ganden plants, the Ross multiflora and Floribunda Roses were the most serious, the rooted misery stocks' root system roted, even died, the preservation rate of them had a accelerating and reduced tendency.3. Before the root system of cutting formed, the water content of substrate had influenced the quality of the formation of callus, while the saturated water content of the substrate exceeded fifty percent, the formation of callus was soft, even died. If the water content was low, the cutting formed the formation of callus slowly, as a result, the forming of the root system is affected. The optimum water content is 30%.4. From the experiment on hibiscus, we can see that the formation of callus are obviously promoted by ABT-2. However, the effect of liquoers of 500 mg/kg and 250 mg/kg are similar. The effect of the liquoer on the bad-rooted plants are also favorable.5. Rooting powder make the content of endogenetic hormone changed. The concentration of polyphenol oxidase is increased by the concentration of rooting powder. But the activity of iaa-oxidase is decreased. The experiment proves that rooting powder changes the ratio of growth inhibitory substance and growth promoting substance. Thus the rooting of plants is improved.6.The survival rate of nursery stocks cutted from different tree locations are discrepant. The cuttings cutted from the lower-middle part of branches could easily survive, whose survival rate reach 80%.However, the survival rate of the ones cutted from the higher-middle part is only 10-20%. So the best cuttings should be cutted from the branches in the lower-middle part.7. For the same kind of cuttings, the ones transplanted later survive more easily. But the scant nutrition and increasing salt content can make the survival rate decrease. The tender roots of juvenile plants is another limiting factor of survival rate. So the selecting of transplanting time is very important.8. The survival rates of some plants are directly affect by root length. It can reach 83.5%—100% when the roots are longer than 3cm, and the average is average.9. Some rooting easily plants, for example, hana pomegranate, rose and queer willow, which do not require certain substrate, can adapt a large range of temperature and humidity. These plants can be good cultivars for application.
