According to appearant quality,chemical components,aroma substances and the result of smoking of tobacco drawing lessons from international and national appraisal standards to quality of flue-cuerd tobacco,using tobacco leaves came from different ecological regions in Yunnan Province, Brazil and Zimbabwe as trial material,the difference and similar of Yunnan and import tobacco was evaluated.The result indicated that,1. Tobacco leaves in Yunnan,Brazil and Zimbabwe had high maturity and loosenness from the appearance quality,the samples in Brazil and Zimbabwe are all mix places and mix color.But, the leaves were short of oil and had a poor chroma for2. The analysis to the chemical components of the different regions tobacco leaves showed that.(1) The starch content in import and Yunnan tobacco were changed from 4.06% to 5.69% and from 3.22% to 6.48% respectively,the average content of starch was 4.90% and 5.16% respectively.Compared with Brazil and Zimbabwe,the holistic level in Yunnan were higher,the highest content of starch were found in upper leaves in Yunnan Baoshan and in middle leaves in Yunnan Wenshan.(2) The total suger in import and Yunnan tobacco were changed from 21.90% to 28.40% and from 16.70% to 32.40% respectively,the average content was 24.20% and 25.65% respectively. The reducing suger in import and Yunnan tobacco were changed from 9.70% to 15.10% and from27.60% to 32.40% respectively,the average content was 21.54% and 22.64% respectively.The difference of the average content of total suger and reducing suger between Yunnan and import tobacco were not significant.But the fluctuating of the total suger and reducing suger in Yunnan Baoshan,Wernshan and average of the two were far more strong than the import tobacco.(3) The total nicotine in import and Yunnan tobacco were changed from 2.10% to 2.89% and from 1.69% to 3.56% respectively,the average content was 2.60% and 2.76% respectively. The total volatile nicotine in import and Yunnan tobacco were changed from 0.23% to 0.32% and from 0.21% to 0.40% respectively,the average content was 0.28% and 0.31% respectively. In Baoshan the level of total nicotine were lower than Wenshan.The nicotine content reduce with the position down.(4) The total nitrogen content in import and Yunnan tobacco were changed from 1.70% to 2.04% and from 1.61% to 3.16% respectively,the average content of starch was 1.93% and 2.26% respectively.The average of total nitrogen content in Yunnan Baoshan was 2.05%,which was approaching to the import tobacco.(5) The nitrate content in import tobacco were changed from 0.08% to 0.26%, which was more higher in Brazil tobacco than in Zimbabwe's,the average content was 0.16%.The nitrate content in yunnan tobacco were changed from 0.07% and 0.23%,the average content was 0.11%.The content in lower leaves was the highest,in middle leaves was the lowest.(6) The K+ content in import and Yunnan tobacco were changed from 2.13% to 2.51% and from 1.78% to 2.63% respectively,the average content was 2.34% and 2.08% respectively. The disciplinarian that the K+ content reduced with the position up is notable in the import tobacco and in Yunnan Baoshan's.The Cl- content in import and Yunnan tobacco were changed from 0.28% to 0.52% and from 0.19% to 0.29% respectively,the average content of starch was 0.41% and 0.22% respectively.3. The harmonious analysis to the chemical components of the different regions tobacco leaves showed that.(1) The average order of the ratio of K+ to Cl- from lowest to highest is Zimbabwe,average of import,Brazil,Yunnan Wenshan,average of Yunnan,Yunnan Bshan.(2) The average order of the ratio of suger to nicotine from lowest to highest is Yunnan Wenshan, Brazil,average of import,average of Yunnan, Zimbabwe,Yunnan Bshan.(3) The average order of the ratio of nitrogen to nicotine from lowest to highest is Brazil, average of import,Zimbabwe, Yunnan Bshan, average of Yunnan, Yunnan Wenshan.The average order of the ratio of nitrogen to nicotine in different region and different position from highest to lowest is, in Yunnan Baoshan:the lower leaves,the middle leaves,the upper leaves; in Yunnan Wenshan:the lower leaves,the upper leaves,the middle leaves; in Brazil:the lower leaves,the upper leaves; in Zimbabwe:the upper leaves,the middle leaves.4. The result of smoking showed that, the samples in Brazil and Zimbabwe were the full aroma type, Yunnan Baoshan and Wenshan's were the mild aroma type.The quality of tobacco of the five grades from Brezil and Zimbabwe were better, the pure aroma,well strength and thickness,distinct aroma,high aroma quality, useableness.The quality of tobacco, of C2F,C3F and X2F from Yunnan Baoshan,and B2F and X2F from Wenshan were better than the other samples,mainly in these phenomenas like short of aroma amount, coarse aroma, distinct offensive and harshness,more leftover in mouth and ect.
