Rhizoma atractylodis macrocephalae is gained from rhizome of Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz. (AMK), contains lactones, glucides, ketones and amino acids, has been applied in treatment of many diseases, such as inflammation, tumour, diabetes and consenescence. It's reasonable to set up fingerprints to differentiate its true and false samples and control the quality, since its wild resource in urgent shortness and its unstable artifacts quality.The study has collected enough AMK herbal medicine from different habitats for processing. And add items to the examination contents on the base of Chinese Pharmacopoeia's quality standard. The primary contents are as follow:Study on moisture, combustion residue, lixivium and naphtha by the methods described on the Chinese Pharmacopoeia, and on amylose by phenol-oil of vitriol colorimetry showed remarkable differences among all kinds of AMK.Done studies on fingerprint about AMK by using near infrared spectroscopy (NIR), and set up identification model by quantitative and qualitative analysis. The quantitative models deciding coefficient (R2) of atractylenolidesâ… andâ…¢were 96.63 and 96.16. All AMK from different habitats were classified well.Determined atractylenolidesâ… ,â…¡andâ…¢by using ultra performance liquid chromatograph (UPLC) and set up fingerprints to analyze pharmic components from different habitats. The best way to evaluate similarity of AMK was"Analysis and date management system of Chinese traditional medicine chromatogram", and similarity considerations among all kinds of AMK were more than 90%.The study used NIR and UPLC technique in quality control on AMK for the first time. Set up fingerprint with high sensitiveness and resolving power. It will make bases for the security of herbal medicine, general control, quality standard and exploitation of new medicinal products.
