| Cashmere characters are important economic traits in cashmere goat production, which directly affect economic benefits. Liaoning new breed of cashmere goat is a Chinese special genetic resource. It is one of the best cashmere goat breeds in the world which is famous for the cashmere yield and it is forbidden for exportation. Due to the high yield and good quality of cashmere, protect and exploit the excellent specie has permanently social sense and economical worth. In order to provide theoretical bases for breeding and establish a selection system for economic traits of new breed of cashmere goat, we studied the relationship between economic traits and genetic makers using microsatellite DNA.The economic traits of Liaoning new breed of cashmere goats, a special Chinese genetic resource, were analyzed in 120 animals by typing 12 microsatellite loci on chromosomes six, seven and nine. The association between three economic traits (body weight, cashmere yield and cashmere fineness) in this new breed of goats and the marker genotypes were analyzed.(1) Twelve microsatellites on the chromosome six,sevene and nine were studied in this paper to detect their polymorphisms in the new breed of cashmere goats.AtBM1329,BM0143,BM0415,BMS2258,INRABERN192,McM527,BM2504,TGLA073,INRA144,BM4208 loci, the number of alleles was 6,7,7,6,7,6,5,5,3,4 respectively and the number of genotypes was 11,12,9,11,9,11,10,11,6,8 respectively. CSN2 and MILSTS72 loci in all individuals showed monomorphism.Among the other 10 microsatellite loci, INRA144 was intermediate polymorphic(0.250.5).(2) Effects of twelve microsatellite loci on economic traits were analyzed by PROC GLM of SAS. Results were insignificant, but some favorable genotypes of loci which affected economic traits were found. BE at BM1329,AD at BM0143,FF at BM0415,CD at BMS2258,DF at INRABERN192,AE and BD at McM527,AE at BM2504,AD at TGLA073,AD and BB at BM4208 were favorable genotypes for body weight. BF at BM1329, BC at BM0143, EG at BM0415, BG at INRABERN192,BE at BM2504,EE at TGLA073,BC at INRA144,CD at BM4208 were favorable genotypes for cashmere yield. DF at BM1329,AA at BM0143,AA at BM0415,CE at BMS2258,AA and AD at BM2504 were favorable genotypes for cashmere fineness. |
