Studies on effects of selenium,copper,zinc,manganese,iron,GSH-Px,T-SOD,CuZn- SOD,Mn-SOD,MDA and NO in serum and wool of different kinds of sheep in pregnancy which were added selenium in the identical condition of feeding management.There were 90 sheep in pregnancy including Mongolian sheep, Suffolksheep and Dorset, which were added selenium in pregnancy.Determined contents of selenium by fluorescence spectrophotometry method, determined contents of copper,zinc,manganese and iron by atomic absorption spectrophotometry method, determined energy of GSH-Px,T-SOD,CuZn-SOD,Mn-SOD,MDA and NO by visible spectrophotometric method. Studies on effects of added selenium to correlative trace elements, antioxidase, MDA and NO,and found out differences of resistibility in pregnancy between three kinds of sheep.Results showed that: The levels of selenium,copper,zinc,manganese and iron in the serum and wool of Mongolian Sheep were higher than that of Suffolksheep and Dorset,and at a great number of period of time there was significantly(P<0.05).The levels of selenium,copper,zinc,manganese and iron in the serum and wool of every kind of sheep which were added selenium were higher than that of the same kind of sheep which were non-added selenium .The energy of GSH-Px in the serum of every kind of sheep which were added selenium were significantly increased,and it was higher than that of the same kind of sheep which was non-added selenium(P<0.05).At pregnant 3 months, energy of CuZn-SOD,T-SOD were higher than that of the same kind of sheep which were non-added selenium(P<0.05).At the same time,the energy of GSH-Px in serum was non-significantly(P>0.05)between the same kind of sheep which were added selenium and non-added selenium.The energy of GSH-Px and CuZn-SOD in the serum of Mongolian Sheep were significantly higher than that of Suffolksheep and Dorset(P<0.05),and the energy of Mn-SOD in the serum of Suffolksheep and Dorset were significantly higher than that of Mongolian Sheep (P<0.05).At pregnant 3 months, the level of MDA in serum of Mongolian Sheep which was added selenium was significantly under than that of Mongolian Sheep which was non-added selenium(P<0.05).And at each time point, the level of MDA in serum of Suffolksheep or Dorset which was added selenium was significantly under than that of the same kind of sheep was non-added selenium(P<0.05).At pregnant 3 months, pregnant 4 months and antepartum 15 days, the level of NO in serum of every kind of sheep which were added selenium were significantly higher than that of the same kind sheep which was non-added selenium(P<0.05).And the levels of NO in serum of Suffolksheep or Dorset was significantly higher than that of Mongolian Sheep(P<0.05).The experiment proved that in the identical condition of feeding management,added selenium in pregnancy could increase significantly the level of selenium of sheep.And added selenium could allay wastages of Cu,Zn,Mn,Fe in serum,and it could significantly heighten energy of GSH-Px,T-SOD and CuZn-SOD,and also could maintain the high level of NO,so added selenium could play an important role to maintain natural pregnancy and to enhance resistibility.
