This paper researches on the BJL5,a centrifugal forest-fire-extinguishing pump with two impellers.The research is based on Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD).and the simulation of the three-dimensional turbulent flow under different operating modes can carry on,through the establishment of analysis model,the compartmentalization of non-structurized grids,the foundation of the three-dimensional N-S equations,and the application of the standard k-~εmodel.Based on the results of the simulation,each of parameters of different positions in the complex flow field in the body of the pump,and the distributed situation,can be obtained,such as the speed of the flow.the pressure and the temperature..The analysis and prognostication about the lift,the power,and the efficiency of the pump can be realized,and through the contrast with the result of the experiment, the method of analysis and prognostication can be concluded.The research can be the reference for the design and research of the pumps with three or four impellers,which are studied in the State Forestry Bureau item "The research on equipments used for forest fire-extinguishing(in the way of water)".On the other hand,the method of analysis and prognostication concluded from this paper, will be very useful for the design,the optimization,the development of the pumps with the same type, and it can take place of some experiments,omit the cost.of manufacture of the test pumps.
