The Mymaridae family is a larger member in Hymenoptera, this family is an common species of egg parasitoids, which plays an important role in controlling pest populations. Therefore, developing Mymaridae'systematic has important scientific and economic significance in Altay region. So far, the family Mymaridae consists of more than 1440 species worldwide, however, it has more than 200 species in China; 16 genera and 54 species of this family were recognized before this study (Hu Hongying,2003). Very few people have made systematic study on family Mymaridae from Xinjiang since. This paper deals with the systematic studies on Mymaridae from Alty region of Xinjiang, China. About 476 slide-mounted specimens are examined, which are mainly collected from 33 places in this region by sweeping.9 genera and 23 species of Mymaridae are identified and described. Among of them, a new record of the genus Stethynium Enock from China-Stethynium triclavatum Enock, rec. nov. At the same time, Mymaridae in this region are preliminary faunal analyzed. This paper is composed of four parts:General part, Fauna component, Taxonomic description and Discussion. In General part, the taxonomic history, morphology, biology, hosts records and biological control application of Mymaridae are briefly reviewed. In Fauna component part:distribution, fauna component and the primary fauna analysis of Mymaridae from Alty region are discussed. In Taxonomic description part, key to genera and species of Mymaridae from the Alty region of Xinjiang are provided. The diagnosis and characters of the genera are provided.A list of the genera and species from the Alty region of Xinjiang in this paper are listed as follows:I Mymaridae 1.
