In this paper, the history of the forest recreation industry and the major of forest recreation at home have been mainly presented. According to investigation on the domestic colleges and universities having been establishing the major of forest resources conservation and forest recreation, methods such as literature research method, comparative analysis method, questionnaire method have been adopted to the analyzing and researching about published articles, monographs and master degree thesises,qualification of teachers,talent training goal orientation, curriculum design, scale, market demands and employment situation,the results showed that: 1.Because of the differences of the area and the advantage of the universities, the orientation of talent cultivation is not exactly the same, but the overall objectives of the universities to train students have a large main line which is cultivate the high professional who can work at forest,tour,city building and so on; 2.The setting of the trunk course is the same in most universities, but there are some different in the setting of the main course; 3.Qualification of teachers make a great difference in these universities:firstly, the difference of professional teachers total between universities is very big, the professional title proportion of teachers in universities are not the same, there is a big difference between the number of teachers with the same title in different schools; 4.Because of the fast development of the zoology tour, the market demands about this major is increased which mainly concentrates in the travel agency, scenic spot,foresty,urban construction and so on; 5.The various universities make a great difference in the enrollment scale and the number of the recruit students are 60 in every year; 6.There are difference in the different colleges in surveyed universities, most belongs to forest college; 7.Among the 25 universities which established the major,17 universities granted the agronomy bachelor's degree,8 universities granted the agronomy bachelor's degree or management science bachelor's degree; 8.To a certain extent, the discipline status for this subject is lower than other similar specialties, the social cognition degree is also low; 9.The universities which established the major is more uniform distribution, the number of schools in various parts of the country does not differ greatly. According to the paper, the status of forest resources conservation and forest recreation, professionals in training lag behind the real development needs of forest recreation industry. the main reason is that the professional training model is not unified, the subject's own development need to be improved, the subject's name need to be innovative, professional courses and sub-setting need to be strengthened, the subject position remain to be improved, teachers weak, external cooperation are not tight enough and so on. Considering research problems, the forest resource conservation and forest recreation professionals in training system must be improved, the relevant government departments should pay attention to the forest resource conservation and forest recreation professionals in training and the personnel training institutions must be compatible with eco-tourism and forestry market demands. Learn from the success of the institutions and personnel training modes with a view to the forest resource conservation and forest recreation to provide a useful reference for professionals in training.
