Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge and Scuteiiaria Baicalensis Georgi are important Chinese traditional and herbal drugs and they have many biological activities. However, the content of their activity constituents is very limited. At present, plant cell culture is one of the most important ways to produce secondary metabolite of many Chinese traditional and herbal drugs. In this paper we change the PH and the content of Fe2+ Cu2+ , Zn2+ Mn2+ and Mg2+ of the MS medium and add some precursors and other elictors such as lanthanides in the MS medium .In order to obtain the better tissue culture factor, callus increasing amount rate and the relative content of Water-soluble depsides and fat-soluble composition in Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge cloning plants and the relative content of flavonoids and baicalin in Scuteiiaria Baicalensis Georgi callus are determined respectively. It can be found that it is the most benefical condition to improve production of fat-soluble composition in Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge when the PH is 5.4 and the MS medium contains Fe2+ 0.5 times,Cu2+ 0.5 times, Zn2+ 1.5 times, Mn2+ 0 times,Mg2+ 0.5 times and NaAc 2.0mmol/L. We also find that the most benefical condition to improve production of flavoids in Scuteiiaria Baicalensis Georgi callus is that the content of Fe2+ is 0.5 times, Cu2+is 2.0 times,Zn2+is 1.5 times,Mn2"1" is 1.5 times,Mg2+ is 0 times and NaAc O.lmmol/L when its PH is 5.4.It is proved that the content of fat-soluble composition in Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge is 0.253% in the most benefical condition while it is 0.101% in the MS medium and the content of inflavoids in Scuteiiaria Baicalensis Georgi callus is 3.53% in the most benefical condition while it is 1.85% in the MS medium.
