Object: To investigate the effect of abciximab in injured artery and endothelin functioaMethods: Fifty-four rats were divided randomlyinto artifi- -cial group, control group and abciximab group(n=18).We made ballon endothelium denudation in abdominal aorta of rats in the latter two groups.The abciximab were injected in abciximab group (025 mg/kg) ,while the control group accepted placebo.Six rats were respectively killed 1 week, 2weeks,4 weeks after operation in every group.The injured injured artery were made paraffin section and hematoxylin eosin stain. The pathomorphology photos described whether there were artery endothelin hyperplasia in injured artery. Bleeding time were gotten before killing . The level of NO and ET were gotten and analyzedResult:1. Bleeding time in abciximab group is longer than artificial group ,control group (P< 0.01 ) . 2.The patliomorphology photos showed there were thrombosis and artery endothelium and smooth muscule cells hyperplasia in injured artery in the control group,while in the abciximab group there were no thrombosis and less artery endothelium hyperlasia in injured artery. 3.Compareing the control group, abciximab can decrease ET level after artery injury 4 weeks later,but NO level rose in the abciximab group in 2 weeks and became lower than the artificial group and the control group 4 weeks later (PO.05) . Condition:1. Abciximab can inhibit platelet aggragation, prolong bleedingtime 2. Abciximab can inhibit artery endothelium hyperlasia in injured artery 3. Abciximab can improve vessel endothelium function after artery injury.
