Experiment and Clinic Research of Wenganqianlie Soup in Treating Benign Prostatic HyperplasiaBenign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) is a common clinical illness of male addition sex Gland. The incidence of BPH is rising in recent years, and it is relation with the age. The treatment methods are divided into two sorts: operation and nonoperation. Operation could release the obstruction, but it could not be used to the patients in the earlier stage or in the later stage with serious obstruction and other main organ damage. Medicine treatment mainly involve in sexual-hormones, a -adrenoceptor blocking drugs, herbs and pollen. Besides these means, mechanic expanding, prostate injection, laser, microwave, freezing, focused superultra are being used in clinic. But most of them could not be accepted by the patients entirely because of their various lacks. Focusing on the special age of the disease's occuring, we suggested the hypothesis of liver-deficiency and cold-blocking in the pathogenesis of BPH based on the TCM theory and pathophysiology. We studied the treatment of BPH by the TCM theory of dealing in liver. Obeying the principle of warming liver and renal tonics, releasing cold andevacuating block, we designed the Wenganqianlie Soup in treating BPH, and verified it in the clinic. It was compared with the Qianliekang. The patients with the exception of the 3rd stage of BPH and renal damage had accepted clinic trial. All these cases were divided into control group and trial group randomly. Each of the groups was 60 cases. Clinical materials showed: that the total rate of good effect in trial group is 93.33%, according to the statistics, it has the obvious difference confront with the control group, which the total rate of good effect is 86.66%.Pharmacological experiments show Wenganqianlie Soup could obviously press the BPH of small rat induced by testosterone. The lexicological experiments show the dose has no any toxic effect in the experimental rats. The treated patients also had not been found obvious bad reactions of the whole or part of the body.So the hypothesis of liver-deficiency and cold-blocking in the pathogenesis of BPH is proved to be true. The prescription of Wenganqianlie Soup was designed reasonable and had a good clinical effect without obvious bad sides.
