Methods The immunohistochemixa stainning method was used to evaluate the PCNA,MMP9 and E-cd in 73 cases of transitional cell carcinoma of bladder. Results The positive rates of these three expression products were as follows:60.3%(PCNA),27.4%(MMP9) and 56.2%(E-cd).The expression products of PCNA and MMP9 were found to be positively correlated to the degree of differentiation and the clinical staging of BTCC.The expression products of E-cd was found to be negatively correlated to pathological grade and the clinical staging of BTCC. Conclusions The results suggested that PCNA,MMP9 and E-cd play important roles in the occurrence and development of BTCC.These findings suggest that the detction of multiple factors is more valuable than that of single factor.Multiple factors are assayed for helping pathological diagnosis ,prognosis and treatment.
