Objective: To study the expression of P53 protein and C-met protein in prostatic carcinoma and significance of this tumor.Method: Immunohistochemical staining method was used to evaluate the positivity of P53 and C-met in 72 cases of prostatic carcinoma and 16 cases of BPH.Result: (1)The percentage of P53,C-met protein positive expression was 0%,18.75% respectively in BPH,but 51.4%,59.2% respectively in prostate carcinoma . the positive stain of P53,C-met protein in Pca being significantly higher than in BPH(P﹤0.01)(2) The positive rates of P53 protein and C-met protein expression were 51.4% and 59.7% respectively, expression of the two proteins showed positive correlation with grade and stage of this tumor(p<0.05). (3) Expression of p53 protein correlated with survival time of these patients. (P<0.05).(4) There was relation between p53 and c-met (p<0.05).Conclusion: 0ver expression of p53 and c-met protein might be related to the carcinogenesis, progression and prognosis of prostate carcinoma.
