| Gu Tong xian(GTX) Capsule has a good effect in fracture healing. To study the effect and mechanisn of GTX Capsule, 45 rabbits had been standard fractured beween mid and low 1/3 of double radius. Animals were randomly divided into treating group,control group and frank group after constructing fructure model. Animals were executed and bone calluses were taken out at 1, 2, 4 weaks after operation. Changes of historical morphology in fracture region were observed by HE staining and expression of BMP-2 or transcriptional level of BMP-2 mRNA were detected by immunohistochemistry and situhybridization. The Results displayed: (DChanges of histological morphology in treating group is superior to the other two groups. (2)Expression of BMP-2 at fracture region in treating group is obviously supeior to the other two groups(p<0.05) and advancely reach peak valuce at first weak. (3) transcriptional level of BMP-2 mRNA in treating group is obviously supeior to the other two groups(p<0.05) and samely advancely reach peak valuce at first weak. (4)In every period of fracture healing, the expression of BMP-2 and transcriptional level of BMP-2 mRNA appear dynamic change and begin to go up after fracture, moreover reached to peak value in two weaks, then go down gradually. Suggestion: (1)GTX capsule can obviously promote fracture healing and shorten fracture healing process. (2) BMP-2 is a important object, GTX capsule can promote the expression of BMP-2 and transcription of BMP-2mRNA and make the time of peak value advancely appear a week.
