| Object: To evaluate the effect and safety of Medicated Wine of "zhibitong "Experimental study : The animal model of adjuvant arthritis is established on wistar rat, we treated the animal model with Medicated Wine of Zhibitong ,then learned the therapeutic effect by measuring the animal model joint swelling and performing pathological examinations .Result: The Medicated Wine of Zhibitong can reduce the degree of rat arthriosis swell andhas favorable therapeutic effects to the secondary affection.indicated that the ZBT has anti-inflamma-torry and immune effects. The pathological findings showed that ZBT could alliviate the synovial tissue's inflammatory congestion, edema, remit the inflammatory cell infiltration and inhibit the proliferation of synovial cells, therefore reduce the degree of destruction of the articular cartilage and subcartilaginous bone tissue. Inhibited the disablement of the woulded limbs. Clinical study: Methods: one-hundred patients were divided into the treatment group (n=52) who were treated exclusively with The Medicated Wine of Zhibitong (10ml po bid ) ; and the control group ( n=48 ) who were treated with votalin ( 50mg po Bid ) .the effect was evaluated after 3-month treatment. The results showed that after 3-month ,the symptoms and sign ,such as morning stiffness ,power of gripping, joint pain ,swelling ,pressing pain ,of patients improved in both groups . But the treatment group had a better effect than the control group ( p < 0.01 or p< 0.05 ) , ESR , CRP in the treatment group decreased more and faster than those in control group ( p< 0.05,p< 0.01 ),short-term control , effective and none effective, radio of the two groups were as follows ,15,26,3 and 6,19,6 ( p< 0.05 ), It is indicated that the treatment group can improve symptoms and signs of patients withRA ,has better and faster effects than control group , and has no obvious side effect.
