Objective:To study the changes of blood cell innate immunity and serum sIL-2R in children with epilepsy and their relationship with epilepsy,so as to explore the roles in etiology of epilepsy。Methods:The rosette rate of erythrocyte-C3b receptor and lymphocyte C3b receptor were detected by using cancer cell rosette method, and the levels of sIL-2R were measured by means of ABC-HRP in 30 children with epilepsy and 30 healthy children in normal control。Results:(1) The rosette rate of erythrocyte -C3b receptor and lymphocyte C3b receptor in epilepsy group(10.0±3.8,6.2±3.6) was significantly lower than that in normal group(16.4±4.1,10.1±3.4) (P<0.05). In different types of epilepsy, the rosette rate of erythrocyte-C3b receptor and lymphocyte C3b receptor was also obviously lower than that in normal group (P<0.05),but there was no significant difference between different types(TRR10.0±3.0,9.9±3.0,TLR6.5±3.2,6.4±3.4) (P>0.05).The level of serum sIL-2R in epilepsy group was obviously higher(170.42±65.44) compared with normal group(139.14±51.36),and the difference was significant (P<0.05).(2)In patients with antiepileptic drugs, the rosette rate of erythrocyte-C3b receptor and lymphocyte C3b receptor was higer(11.2±2.6,7.3±2.5) than that in patients without antiepilaptic drugs (9.1±2.9,5.2±2.6)(P<0.05).While the level of sIL-2R had not obviously changed in patients with antiepileptic drugs (162.61±62.63) compared with those without antiepilaptic drugs (177.25±63.92) (P>0.05).(3) The rosette rate of RBCerythrocyte-C3b receptor and lymphocyte C3b receptor in control group (11.8±2.0,8.2±1.7) was higer than that in uncontrol group(9.1±2.9,6.1±1.3)(P<0.05).The rosette rate of lymphocyte C3b receptor had not obvious distinction between contorl group(8.2±1.7) and normal group(10.0±3.4)(P>0.05),but the rosette rate of erythrocyte-C3b receptor, the rosette rate of lymphocyte C3b receptor in uncontrol group(9.1±2.9, 6.1±1.3) and the rosette rate of erythrocyte-C3b receptor in contorl group(11.8±2.0) were all obviously lower than that in normal group(16.4±4.1,10.0±3.4).There was no difference for the levels of sIL-2R between different types of epiletic syndromes(P>0.05).Conclusions:Our study showed that in children with epilepsy the blood cell innate immunity significantly decreased and the levels of sIL-2R significantly increased, suggested the blood cell innate immunity and cell immunity may play an important role in the process of epilepsy. The disorder of blood cell innate immunity can be improved by administration of TPM, which indicated that TPM had regulatory function to blood cell innate immunity, and the immunity regulator therapy may be useful for epilepsy children. In addition the detection of blood cell innate immunity may be helpful to estimate curative effect and predict prognosis.
