Objective:To discuss the clinicopathologic features of trichoepithelioma . Methods :We collected 23 cases of trichoepithelioma from 23 patients,All the specimen was fixed in 4% liquer formaldehydi. The entire specimen was serially cut, processed routinely for paraffin embedding, and stained with hematoxylin eosin stains.Analysis the clinicopathology feature of trichoepithelioma 。Result :In thise 23 cases of trichoepithelioma patients, there were 10 men(43.5 %)and 13 women(56.5 %), ranging in age from 16 to 66 years (mean 44.8). There is not the subjective symptoms for the most patients. All cases presented as papules or nodules .Clinically,it may be come to a wrong diagnosis as nevus ,syringoma ,base cell carcinoma and so on . On magnification, all tumors have sharp peripheral circumscription and all tumors were confined to the upper dermis, and tumor continuity with the epidermis was noted in some cases. Some basloid aggregations associated with a palisaded alignment of the cells at the periphery of the aggregations can be seen..Aroud the aggregations their is highly fibrotic stroma with clefts in the stroma itself. There are much follicular structures and horn cysts in basloid aggregations. Conclusion :Trichoepithelioma is one kind of cutaneous adnexal neoplasms,it may easily be diagnose as other coditions. It can't be diagnosed only based on the clinical manifestation ,and the correct diagnosi must be based on pathologic magnification。...
