Laryngocarcinoma is a common malignant tumor in ENT Department and the second most malignant tumor in primary epithelial malignancies of head and neck .Its incidence in male is about ten times as much as in female. In recent years, the morbidity of laryngocarcinoma appears an increasing tendency, and its recurrence is relatively common. Recurrence is a main reason of operative failure and a main factor affecting survival rate. In this paper, related literatures in 10 years were reviewed, the therapeutic condition of the patient with laryngocarcinoma was looked back, and clinical and cell biological factors related to postoperative relapse of laryngocarcinoma were studied. What the results demonstrated are as follows:(1)The postoperative recurrence rate of laryngocarcinoma increased with the increasing of T stage, ie, the patient with relatively high T stage showed relatively high recurrence dangerous degree.(2) The recurrence of laryngocarcinoma was related to improper primary treatment, halfway resection of tumor was a main cause of recent recurrence, and inadequate treatment of cervical lymph node was also an important factor of relapse.(3) Lymphatic metastasis of the cervical easily resulted in recurrence of tumor. The patients with lymphatic metastasis showed a higher dangerous degree of recurrence than that without lymphatic metastasis. (4)Postoperative recurrence rate of...
