Objective: Acute pancreatitis(AP) is an acute inflammatory process of the pancreas by activated pancreatic enzyme, whereas severe acute pancreatitis(SAP) is a syndrome with organ disfunction or failure or metabolism disfunction and the complication of pancreatic necrosis, abscess. The process of this disease occurred urgent, developed fast and the condition is ponderosus. The patient succumb to multiple organs failure in end. The overall mortality rate with AP is 5—10%. Pancreatitis, peritonitis, pyemia and so on are called systemic inflammatory reaction syndrome(SIRS). A great quantity of different kinds of cytokins and neutrophilic leukocytes are accumulated when SIRS, which destroyed the monocaryon-phagocytic cell system. The large amount of endotoxin, inflammatory factors and neutrophilic leukocytes enter into liver which can not be deactivated would lead hepatic cells and neutrophilic leukocytes to apoptosis or necrosis. Thus MOF would be induced or exacerbated. It was reported that the activated neutrophilic leukocytes and monocytes in tissue produce large amount of oxygen free radicals(OFR) in "respiratopry burst " when SIRS. The key of OFR to damage liver cell is lipid peroxidation. We...
