| With increasing of new medicines' number, altering of people's life style and sharping of environmental pollution, there has been a considerable increase in the prevalence of atopic disease in recent decades. Thus it is necessary to study the mechanism of atopic responses. Appearance of IgE has been known to correlate with hypersensitivity reactions, but evidence also implates specific IgG is associated with both allergic sensitization and disease. However, the role of specific IgG in allergy is controversial, several different points exist. The role of this study was to discover the role of IgG antibodies in hypersensitivity and factors associated with IgG antibodies. Materials and methodsELISA(Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay) was used to examine 8 kinds of specific IgG antibodies of different antigenic determinants (BPO, BPA, PVO, PVA, APO, APA), 4 kinds of specific IgG antibodies to foods (peanut, egg, milk, crab) and 4 kinds of specific IgG antibodies to aeroallergens ( spring pollen, ragweed pollen, mite, house dust) in sera among 330 atopic patients and 146 healthy subjects. The relationship between allergic reaction and specific IgG antibodies1.1 The sera levels and positive rates of specific IgG antibodiesAmong 330 patients, 178 had a history of penicillins hypersensitivity, 38 were allergic to foods, 68 had allergic reactions to aeroallergens.
