Objective:1. To investigate the expression and the clinical significance of proto-oncogene cerbB-2 proteins pl85 , adhesion molecules CD44v6 and matrix metalloproteinase mmp—2 in laryngeal squamous cell carcinomas (LSCC) and the lymphoid metastasis of LSCC.2. To investigate the relationship among P185, CD44v6 and mmp-2 in LSCC .Methods:The immunohistchemical technique was used to investigatethe expression of the P185, CD44v6 and mmp—2 in 63 cases of LSCC,20 cases of adjacnet safety margin (ASM) and 18 cases of vocal cord polyp(VCP).Results:1. There were no expression of pl85 in VCP, Significant differences were observed between LSCC and ASM group; there was significant differences among the different pathologic degree; The positive expression of pl85 was correlated with LSCC cervical lymph node metastasis , but not related to clinical stage.2.There were significant differences among LSCC, VCP and ASM three group ; the positive express of CD44v6 was not correlated with pathologic degree, clinical stage and cervical lymph node metastasis.3. Significant differences were observed among the three group; there was significant differences among the different pathologic degree; no difference was observed from the expression of mmp-2 between the cases of lymphoid metastasis and no lymphoid metastasis ; The expression of mmp—2 was not related to age and clinical stage.
