Purpose:In this study, by contrasting the mobilization effects of autologous circulating blood stem cell by G-CSF in old patients(≥60 years) to non-old patients( < 60 years) with acute myocardial infarction(AMI),we evaluated the mobilization result of old patients with AMI.Method:Patient SelectionThere are total 35 patients with AMI in our hospital attending this study .There are two groups: old patient group (≥60 years) including 16 peoples and non-old patient groups (<60 years) including 19 peoples.Method and Observed target35 patients with AMI received inclusive type Granulocyte Colony-Stimulating Factor (G-CSF) with the dose of 300μg/day -600μg/day, were allocated to two groups. One was old, the other was non-old . The patients received G-CSF by hypodermic injection, and the duration of applying G-CSF was 5 days. In the process of the mobilization of the circulating blood stem cell, the white blood cell (WBC) and CD34~+ cell count in the circulating blood should be observed.Results:1. In old man group, prior to applying G-CSF and the 3rd,4th,5th,6th,7th after applying G-CSF, the counts of WBC were 7.19×10~9/L, 27.5×10~9/L,31.59×10~9/, 34.34×10~9/L, 37.44×10~9/L, 20.29×10~9/L; (P=0.142,0.763,0.150,0.448,0.856,0.431)2. The counts of CD34~+ cell were 5.74×10~6/L , 89.50×10~6/L 146.06×10~6/L,144.23×10~6/L,59.51×10~6/L. In young man group, prior to applying G-CSF and the 3rd,4th,5th,6th,7th after applying G-CSF,the counts of WBC were 9.32×10~9/L,32.04×10~9/L,34.64×10~9/L,36.79×10~9/L,33.85×10~9/L,19.38×10~9/L,the counts of CD34~+ cell were 74.72×10~6/L, 156.28×10~6/L, 265.79×10~6/L, 254.33×10~6/L,75.39×10~6/L. (P=0.122,0.093,0.075,0.056,0.244)3. The peak of curve that WBC and CD34~+ cell count changed with applying days was at the 5th or 6th. in two groups. The count of CD34~+ cell in the circulating blood was positive referent with the count of WBC in the circulating blood. Two groups have no severe difference .Conclusion:The effects of autologous peripheral blood stem cell mobilization by-CSF in old patients and non-old patients with AMI have no severe difference .The mobilized peak of WBC and CD34~+ cell counts changed with applying days was at the 5th or 6th, and the counts of CD34~+ cell in the circulating blood was positive referent with the count of WBC in the circulating blood.
