Objective To evaluate the effect of self-made liver preservation solution on liver preservation by comparison with UW solution and HC-A solution. To discuss influence of self-made liver preservation solution to secretion of icam-1 and nitric oxide in rat liver. Methods Compound self-made liver preservation solution in aseptic environment. Establish noncirculated isolated perfusion of rat liver. Carry out a randomized grouping experimental study according to the types of solution. Detect aminotransferases content of Krebs-Henseleit's perfusate and icam-1, NO content of liver tissues in different time points. Results For ALT and AST, the self-made liver preservation solution group are close with UW solution group and lower than HC-A solution group(p<0.05). For icam-1 and NO, the self-made solution group and UW solution group raise up synchronously, show no statistic significance between both of them(p>0.05). There are statistic significance compare with HC-A solution group. Self-made solution group is higher than UW solution group, lower than UW solution group at same time point. Self-made solution group is more serious than UW solution and lighter than HC-A solution group on endoscopic changes. Conclusion Biochemical parameters and endoscopic changes reflect that self-made liver preservation solution is overall correspond to UW solution on liver preservation, rather exceed HC-A solution. Icam-1 only express in the condition of liver cell damage, its level is parallel with enzymological parameters. The lower level of NO content in self-made liver preservation solution reflect that it has superiority in cell membrance stabilization and inhibition of oxygen free radical production. The changes of icam-1 and NO reflect the level of liver tissue damage, and can be indicators on evaluation of liver preservation solution.
