Objective: By evaluating the effect of moderate dosage atorvastatin on indexes of lipid, hs-CRP, blood glucose, CIMT, brachial artery diameter and flow-mediated dilation in hypertensive patients whose carotid inner membrane stratum thickness exceeded 0.8mm, to explore the underlying mechanism of atorvastatin on regressive atherosclerosis, and by analysis the relationship between life behavior and hypertension, to propose the keypoint of health education.Methods: 62 hypertensive patients were divided into experimental group (n=32) and control group (n=30). At baseline, the indexes of lipid, hs-CRP, fasting blood glucose, CIMT,brachial artery diameter and flow-mediated dilation were measured. The experimental group was treated by 20mg/d atorvastatin. Three months later, those indexes mentioned above were measured repeatedly, and contradistinction, constituent, clustering, and multiple factor linear regression analysis were used for results comparison. Questionnaire on living behavior models of 62 hypertensive patents and 30 non-hypertensive patients was evaluated for related risk factor analysis of hypertensive disease. Results: Compared to the control group, the three months treatment with Atorvastatin for hypertensive patients, accompanied with the CMIT exceeded 0.8mm, could degrade TC17.73%, TG 8.70%, LP-a 9.23%, LDL-C 21.38%, Apo-B 5.76%, increase HDL-C 9.52%, Apo-A 20%. TC,LDL,LP(a),hs-CRP,CMIT,the arterial brachialis blood vessel diameter and flow rate difference had statistical significance. Logistic regression analysis were made with 16 risk factor, including education, vocation, smoking and activity amount, that would possibly influence the results, and results showed that education and BMI had statistical significance.Conclusions: The results suggest that,â‘ the three months Atorvastatin medium dosage, 20mg/d,treatment to those hypertensive disease victims whose CIMT exceeded 0.8mm, can degrade TC, LDL-C, LP-a, Hs-CRP, and improve the CIMT and arterial brachialis blood vessel dependence endothelium function.â‘¡the statins'anti-cervical atherosis is mainly degrade and accommodate lipoids, especially for those who are hyperlipemia or the CMIT exceeding 0.9mm, and can also reverse atherosis degree by prevent inflammatory reaction, improve the diastolic function of artery endodermis .(3) Strengthen the health education to those who was low education degree,overweight and obesity, by confining the salt,decreasing weight,rational meal,suitable movement and appropriate mentality.
