The Development, Evaluating And Initial Clinical Utilizing Of The Measuring Scale Of Quality Life Of TCM For Sustained Hemodialysis Patients

Objective: 1.To prepare the measuring scale of quality of life in hemodialysis patients with the characteristics of Traditional Chinese Medicine, according to the definition of quality of life of WHO. 2 .To evaluate and utilize the measuring scale of quality of life of Chinese Medicine initially in hemodialysis patients in clinic.Method: 1.With investigating the quality of life of healthy people and hemodialysis patients and using statistical analysis, such as significant score of experts, discrete trends, factor analysis, regression, discriminant analysis and Kelangbahe coefficient method, we chose the item of the measuring scale of quality of life of TCM. Then we got the the measuring scale of quality of life of TCM for hemodialysis patients.2.Examed the reliability and validity of the measuring scale of quality of life of TCM for hemodialysis patients.3.We evaluated the quality of life of hemodialysis patients with KDQOL-SF^TMmeasuring scale and the home-made measuring scale of quality of life of TCM objectively. We compared the difference of the quality of life of hemodialysis patients with the therapy of TCM and the ones without it. Then we could investigate the influence of TCM to hemodialysis patients.Results:1.We made the formal measuring scale of quality of life of TCM for hemodialysis patients.2.We found that the reliability and validity of home-made measuring scale of quality of life of TCM for hemodialysis patients are both good by evaluating and statistical analysis . 3.The difference of the physical function and symptoms between hemodialysis patients with the therapy of TCM and the ones without it is significantly(p<0.05) by scoring with the home-made measuring scale of quality of life of TCM. There are significant differences(p<0.05) in physical function(PE),body pain(BP),energy and symptoms and discomfot (SPL) between hemodialysis patients with the therapy of TCM and the ones without it by scoring with KDQOL-SF^? measuring scale.Conclusion: 1. The reliability and validity of home-made measuring scale of quality of life of TCM for hemodialysis patients are both good. So it could be used to evaluate the quality of life for hemodialysis patients. 2.The therapy combining with Chinese Medicine could raise the quality of life for hemodialysis patients.
