Objective:Through the joint observation of traditional Chinese medicine treatment of ascites due to cirrhosis of conventional Western medicine the clinical efficacy and the treatment and control of conventional Western medicine, Chinese medicine on the strengthening spleen and replenishing qi, activating blood circulation against stasis and inducing diuresis to alleviate edema treatment of hepatitis B after ascites due to cirrhosis of the advantages and seek more effective The treatment of ascites due to cirrhosis. Methods:Fifty eight patients with cirrhosis ascites after Acute and Chronic Hepatitis B were eqally randomized into control group and treatment group on the encephalon of rats. The control group got the usual treatment of western medicine, and the treatment group got the therapy of TCM-WM, whose the drug is given orally one dose every day. Comparing tow groups with the total effective rate, symptoms of valid cases and improvement of signs, liver function, coagulation function to observe the effect of thickness of spleen and main portal vein diameter , patients quality of life and so on.Results:(1)The total therapeutic effect were remarkable difference between the two groups, the effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group (P<0. 05) ;Comparing the Grade B and Grade C cure rate with Child-Pugh classified curative effect, the effective rate were remarkable difference (P<0.05) , the effective rate of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.(2) The liver function, coagulation function of patients improved obviously after treatment, the improvement of the treatment group was better than that of the control group (P<0. 05) .(3) Comparing B-Ultrasound Examination results of thickness of spleen, portal vein diameter and ascites depth before and after treatment, the ascites were both extincted in the two groups. The intumescent spleens were reduced and the enlargements of portal vein diameter were inhibited in some degree, the improvement of the treatment group was better than that of the control group (P<0. 05) .(4) A statistical comparison between the two groups was not significant with the therapeutic effect difference on the syndrome of qi and damp stagnation, the syndrome of blood stasis in liver and spleen , and the syndrome of han-shi staying in spleen (P>0. 05).(5) On subjective efficacy evaluation, the treatment group compared this group before treatment and the control group with bleeding, controlling emotion, transporting, controlling bile, positive feeling, attention, physiological field, there was statistical significance in the score differences among the three groups (P<0.05) . The score differences was statistical significance between the treatment group and the group before treatment (P<0. 05) , but that was not statistical significance between the treatment group and the control group (P>0. 05) .The score differences was statistical significance between the control group and the group before treatment on bleeding, controlling emotion and totao score (P<0. 05) .Conclusions:The results show that the therapy of traditional Chinese medicine combined with routine western medicine is effective; it can improve liver function and coagulation function, reduce the in tumescent spleen, and inhibit the enlargement of portal vein diameter in some degree. It also can extinct ascites effectively, improve general health condition and life quality of patients.
