The Correlation Of The Expression Of VEGF And CD44v6 Protein In Non-small Cell Lung Cancer And The Clinic Pathological Features And Prognosis

Objective To study the correlation of the expression of VEGF and CD44v6 protein in non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) and the clinic pathological features and prognosis.Methods Apply the immune-histological chemistry staining(PV-6000) method and Use mono/multi-clonally antibody(mono -clonally antibody of CD44v6, multi-clonally antibody of VEGF) to investigate the expression of VEGF,CD44v6 protein in archival wax-embedded specimens of 40 NSCLC and 40 normal lung tissues adjacent to lung carcinoma,.Results The positive rate of VEGF is significantly higher in patient with NSCLC than that in normal lung tissues adjacent to carcinomas(77.5%%versus37.5%,P＜0.01). The expression of VEGF had no relationship with clinic pathological factors including age,sex,smoking,tumor size,histological type of lung cancer and had relationship with clinic pathological factors including TNM stage,lymph node metastasis,survival.The positive rate of VEGF was lower in stageⅠ～Ⅱgroup than that in stageⅢ～Ⅳgroup,and in lymph non-metastasis group than in lymph node metastasis group,and in survival group than in dead group.The positive expression rate of CD44v6 is significantly higher in NSCLC than that in normal lung tissues adjacent to carcinomas(67.5%versus 10%,P＜0.01);No relationship was found among the expression of CD44v6 and clinic pathological factors such as sex, age,tumor size and smoking,and relationship such as histological type,differ entiation degree,TNM stage,lymph node metastasis,survival.The expression of CD44v6 was higher in patient in squamous cell cancer group than in Aden carcinoma group,and in low differentiation group than in high differentiation group,in stageⅢ～Ⅳgroup than that in stageⅠ～Ⅱgroup,and in lymph metastasis group than in lymph node non-metastasis group,and in dead group than in survival group.Relationship was found among VEGF and CD44v6 in non-small cell lung cancer.CONCLUSION(1) The expression of VEGF protein and CD44v6 protein was high in NSCLC,The expression of VEGF and CD44v6 might play a important role in carcinogenesis of lung carcinoma.(2)The expression of VEGF had relationship with clinic pathological factors including TNM stage,lymph node metastasis,and survival. And relationship was found among the expression of CD44v6 and clinic pathological factors such as histological type,differentiation degree,TNM stage,lymph node metastasis,survival.VEGF and CD44v6 might be good prognostic indicator for patients with lung carcinoma.(3) Positive reactive rate of VEGF and CD44v6 protein in the group with lymph nodes involved was much higher than that in the group without lymph nodes involved, suggesting that VEGF and CD44v6 might be a promising marker in the course of metastasis in NSCLC.(4) Relationship was found among the protein expression of VEGF and CD44v6 in non-small cell lung cancer.
