Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance ofc-myc gene and CD44v6 adhesion molecular in the ovarian epitheliar tumor. Methods To detect the expression of c-myc and CD44v6 in 30 ovarian malignant epithelial tumors,10 ovarian benign tumors and 10 normal ovarian tissues with immunohistochemical method, and analyse their co relations with different types, pathological differentiation degree and clinical stage.Result There is no expression of c-myc and CD44v6 in normal ovarian tissues. The positive expression rate of c-myc and CD44v6 in benign tumors is 10%;The positive expression rate of c-myc and CD44v6 in malignant ovarian epithelial tumor are 63.3% and 26.7%,higher than in benign tumors. There is significant difference of the expression of c-myc between benign tumors and ovarian cancers,P<0.05;However, posive rate of CD44v6 shows no difference,P>0.05.Also,there is no significant difference of c-myc and CD44v6 between various histological types and different differentiation degree and clinical stage in ovarian epithelial tumor. Conclusion The expression of c-myc gene is correlated with the pathogenesis of ovarian tumors,c-myc may serve as a tumor marker of ovarian malignant epithelial tumors. But there is no relationship in progression of ovary cancer. We need do more investigation to find the relation between CD44v6 and ovary cancer. The expression of c-myc do not related with CD44v6 in ovary cancer.
