Expression Characteristics Of COX2,CDX2,NDRG1 And Nm23 In Laryngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma And Their Prognostic Value In Laryngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma Patients | Posted on:2010-11-23 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | Country:China | Candidate:L P Zhuang | Full Text:PDF | GTID:2144360275456885 | Subject:Pathology and pathophysiology | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | Objective:To study the expression of COX2,CDX2,NDRG1 and nm23 in the develope of Laryngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma and to evaluate their prognostic value in Laryngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma patients.Methods:COX2,CDX2,NDRG1 and nm23 were detected at their protein levels by immunohistochemistry(IHC) and image analysis(IA) techniques in Laryngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma.25 cases of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma were followed to ascertain the influence of on survival of COX2,CDX2,NDRG1 and nm23 patients with laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma.Results:1.The expressions level of COX2 protein was gradually increased from laryngeal polyp,laryngeal papillary to laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma(P<0.05).From the well differentiated laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma tissues to the poor differentiated tissues the expressions of COX2 protein were increased(P>0.05).The expressions of COX2 protein was lower in superficial carcinoma(Stage T1-2) than invasive carcinoma(Stage T3-4)(P<0.05).And the expressions of COX2 protein between laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma tissues with no regional lymph nodes metastasis and primary laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma tissues with regional lymph nodes metastasis had not difference(P>0.05).2.The expressions of CDX2 protein was weakly positive in laryngeal polyp and laryngeal papilloma(P>0.05),and the expressions of CDX2 protein was negative in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma.3.The expressions of NDRG1 protein in laryngeal polyp,laryngeal papilloma and laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma had significantly difference(P<0.05).From the well differentiated laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma tissues to the poor differentiated tissues the expressions of NDRG1 protein were decreased(P>0.05).The expressions of NDRG1 protein was higher in superficial carcinoma(Stage T1-2) than invasive carcinoma(Stage T3-4)(P>0.05);the expressions of NDRG1 protein was higher in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma tissues with no regional lymph nodes metastasis than primary laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma tissues with regional lymph nodes metastasis(P>0.05).4.The expressions level of nm23 protein was gradually decreased from laryngeal polyp,laryngeal papillary to laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma(P<0.05).The expressions of nm23 were not correlated with differentiation degree(P>0.05).The expressions of nm23 protein was higher in superficial carcinoma(Stage T1-2) than invasive carcinoma (Stage T3-4)(P<0.05).And the expressions of nm23 protein between laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma tissues with no regional lymph nodes metastasis and primary laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma tissues with regional lymph nodes metastasis had significantly difference(P<0.05).5.The survival curve of patients was gradually decreased,no matter COX2 protein was positive or negative(P>0.05).The survival curve of NDRG1 protein positive patients had no change,but NDRG1 protein negative ones was gradually decreased(P>0.05).The survival curve of patients was gradually decreased,no matter nm23 protein was positive or negative(P<0.05),and it indicates that decreased expression of nm23 is closely correlated with prognosis(P<0.05).Conclusions:COX2 may be an important molecular biological marker predicting the occurrence of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma.CDX2 has no correlation in the development of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma.
