Objective Dectect the expression of VEGF mRNA nendometrial carcinoma /para-tumour tissues/normal endometria and peripheral blood ,supposed the effect of VEGF on tumor metastasis. Methods 51 endometrial cancer tissues , para -tumour tissues and 40 normal endometria samples and their peripheral blood were examined by Real-Time PCR to detect the VEGF expression and analyzed in a conjunction with the clinical features of the tumor. Results There was a significant difference levels of VEGF mRNA between the endometrial carcinoma, para- tumour tissue and normal endometria. (F =10.24, P<0.05). The level of VEGF was more higher in carcinoma than in para-tumour tissue(Q=5.42, P<0.05) ,but the latter was more higher than normal endometria(Q =4.27, P < 0. 05). There was no significant relationship between the levels of VEGF mRNA with the menopause or not and the pathological types of patients of endometrial cancer(F =3.10,2.98 ,P>0.05).But the levels of VEGF mRNA expression was significant associated with the clinical stage ,the grade of tumor pathology, lymph node metastasis and the invasion of deep muscular layer (F was 4.72,5.01,5.30 and 5.23 respectively,P<0.05). .In peripheral blood, the level of VEGF mRNA was more higher in carcinoma than in controls(t=76.27,P< 0.01) , the levels of VEGF-mRNA expression was significant associated with the clinical stage ,the grade of tumor pathology, lymph node metastasis and the pathological types (P<0.05) but has no significant relationship with the menopause or not and the invasion of deep muscular layer( P>0.05).Conclusions The results suggest that the VEGF may play an important role in genesis and development of invasive endometrial carcinoma. VEGF might be used as a potential molecular target for the treatment of malignant tumors.
