| Objective To study changes of insulin resistance(IR),serum leptin(Lp) and the plasma levels of angiotensinⅡ(AngⅡ) and calcitonin gene-related peptide(CGRP) in healthy offspring with family history of essential hypertension(EH ) and to explore the pathogenesis of EH.Methods Sixty healthy offspring with family history of EH were recruited and divided into two groups.(1)30 from family with either one parent of EH;(2)30 from family with both parents of EH;(3) control group,30 subjects from family with parents negative history.FINS,serum leptin, plasma AngⅡand CGRP were determined by radioimmunoassay. And calculated insulin resistance index(IRI).Results The levels of IR,serum leptin, plasma AngⅡand CGRP increased significantly in two study groups compared with those in control group(F=14.43~19.44,q=0.48~8.72,P<0.01).Serum leptin, plasma AngⅡand CGRP were higher in subjects from two parents group than that in one parent group(F=19.44,15.14,16.63,q=3.23,3.12,3.98,P<0.05).CGRP was positively related with AngⅡ(r =0.682,P<0.01),and serum leptin and IR have a relationship of Spearman correlation from ranks.(rs=0.327,0.01<p<0.025).Conclusion The higher levels of IR,leptin,AngⅡand CGRP were existence before the development of hypertension in healthy offspring with family history of EH,and supposed that they may be the cause of EH and not the consequence of EH.People with IR and high levels of leptin,AngⅡand CGRP may more tend to have hypertension, suggesting the primary preventive measures beginning from childhood is advocated. |
