Research Of Survivin In Bladder Transitional Cell Carcinoma

Objective To study the clinical value of the expression of Survivin in the Bladder Transitional Cell Carcinoma.Methods Collected 47 paraffin-embedded surgical resection of pathologically confirmed cases of BTCC,43 cases CG and 10 normal bladder tissues.The group of BTCC consisted of 30 men and 17 women with a mean age of 62.5 years (range 23-89). 47 cases carcinoma specimens were make up with 16 G_â… , 21 G_â…¡, and 10 G_â…¢. The group of CG consisted of 22 men and 21 women with a mean age of 44.6 years(range 19-80).10 cases include 6 men and 4 women with a mean age of 46.6 years. Detect the expression of Survivin by immunohistochemical S-P method.Datas were classified according to histological type, pathological grade and clinical stage and were analyzed by SPSS13.0 software. The different of constituent ratio to numeration data used chi square test and analysis toα= 0.05 (two-tailed probability) as the standard test.Results Survivin were detected in 30 of 47(63.8%) bladder transitional cell carcinoma tissues,and it was expressed in 44.2 % (19/43) of the cystitis glandularis tissues. In contrast,no expression of survivin in 10 normal bladder mucosas. There is statistic significantly(χ²=11.037,P<0.01;χ²=5.101,P<0.05) between BTCC and normal bladder mucosa,CG and normal bladder mucosa. no statistic s significantly (χ²=3.494,P>0.05)between BTCC and CG,In 47 cases BTCC, The expression rate of survivin in G_â… was 37.5% (6/16),G_â…¡was 71.4% (15/21),G_â…¢90% (9/10),there is statistic significantly (χ²=4.259,χ²=4.965,P<0.05) between G_â… and G_â…¡, G_â… and G_â…¢. no statistic significantly (χ²=0.485,P>0.05)between G_â…¡and G_â…¢.The expression rate of survivin was 45%(9/20) in the group of T_is-1,77.8%(21/27) in the group of T2-4,there is statistic significantly between two groups(χ²=5.347,P<0.05).Conclusions 1.The abnormal expression Survivin is common in BTCC,The increased expression of Survivin might play an important role in carcinogenesis and progression of bladder cancer.2.The expression of Survivin was up-regulation in CG,CG is maybe one stage of normal transitional epithelia cells developing into BTCC.The cases of Survivin expression are positive should be follow-up in clinical treatment.
