A Study Of The Relationship Between The Expressions Of PTTG And VEGF And The Biological Behavior In Pituitary Adenomas

Objective: To study the protein expression of PTTG and VEGF in invasive pituitary adenomas and the relationship between them.Methods: The protein expressions of PTTG and VEGF in 50 patients with pituitary adenomas(28 cases in invasive group, 22 cases in non-invasive group) were assayed by immunohistochemical staining technique,with a correlation analysis.Results: In the invasive pituitary adenomas,the protein expression of PTTG and VEGF were higher(P<0.05).A correlation analysis showed that there was a negative corelation between PTTG and VEGF in invasive pituitary adenomas(r=0.762,P<0.0 1).Conclusion:PTTG and VEGF may be corelated with the invasiveness of pituitary adenoma,and a valuable biological predicting marker.
