Expression Of Survivin VEGF And Ki-67 And Its Correlation With Invasivenss Of Pituitary Adenoma

Objective:To study on the expressions of Survivin,ki-67 VEGF in invasive pituitary adenomas, and to investigate whether there exist correlations among the expressions of the three proteins and between the expressions of the three proteins and the invasiveness of invasive pituitary adenomas.Method:The protein expressions of Survivin, VEGF and ki-67 in 58 patients with pituitary adenomas (21 cases in invasive group,37 cases in non-invasive group) were assayed by immunohistochemical staining technique, with a correlation analysis.Results:There were significant difference in the expression of Survivin, VEGF and ki-67 in invasive and non-invasive group. Expression of Survivin was directly related to the increase of blood vessels. High expression of Survivin and the invasive tumor cells were positively correlated. VEGF could promote tumor angiogenesis.ki-67 is to judge a good indicator of tumor proliferation.Conclusion:Survivin, ki-67 and VEGF can be used as good biological indexes for the evaluation of invasiveness and prognosis of pituitary adenoma.
