Objective : To detect and compare the expressions of inhibitor of differentiation(Id-1)and microvessel density (MVD)in ovarian epithelial tumor tissues,and investigate the effect of Id-1 and MVD in the occurrence and development of ovarian epithelial tumor.Methods:131 patients with ovarian epithelial tumor were selected,including 13 cases of serous cystadenoma,10 cases of borderline serous cystadenoma,36 cases of serous cystadenocarcinoma,12 cases of mucinous cystadenoma,10 cases of borderline mucinous cystadenoma,30 cases of mucous cystadenocarcinoma and 20 cases of endometrioid carcinoma . Serous cystadenocarcinoma,mucous cystadenocarcinoma and endometrioid carcinoma were divided into different stages according to FIGO operation pathology,stageâ… 12 cases,stageâ…¡15 cases,stageâ…¢52 cases and stageâ…£7 cases .The expressions of Id-1 and MVD in ovarian epithelial tumor tissues were detected with immunohistochemistry(strept avidin-biotin-horseradish peroxidase,SP). The expressions of Id-1 and MVD were compared in normal epithelial ovarian tissue, benign tumor,borderline tumor and malignant tumor,as well as in different pathological grades and operation pathology stages of malignant tumor. The relationship between the expression of Id-1 and MVD value was also analyzed. Results:The positive expression rate of Id-1 in ovarian borderline tumor groups were significantly increased,compared with ovarian benign tumor groups and normal epithelial ovarian tissue(P<0.01). The expression of Id-1 in ovarian serous cystadenocarcin , mucous cystadenocarcinoma and endometrioid carcinoma were significantly- superior to the ovarian borderline tumor groups,ovarian benign tumor groups and normal epithelial ovarian tissue(P<0.01).The positive expression rate of MVD in ovarian borderline tumor groups were significantly higher than that in ovarian benign tumor groups and normal epithelial ovarian tissue(P<0.01). The expression of MVD in serous cystadenocarcinoma,mucous cystadenocarcinoma and endometrioid carcinoma groups were significantly higher than those in ovarian borderline tumor groups,ovarian benign tumor groups and normal epithelial ovarian tissue(P<0.01).The expression of Id-1 and MVD were raised up with the process of the histological grades,pathological grades and the stages of FIGO operation pathology. And there was positive correlation between the expression of Id-1 and MVD(r=0.797,P<0.01).Conclusion:The overexpression of Id-1 in ovarian epithelial tumor is closely related with angiogenesis,which may play an important role in the occurrence and development of ovarian epithelial tumor.
