Objective:To observe and evaluate the clinical effects of Xin Tong Thai particles treatment of stable angina pectoris with the syndrome of Qi Zhi Xue Yu and explore the mechanism of action.Methods:60 pmiems of stable angina pectoris with the syndrome of Qi Zhi Xue Yu from June 2010 to February 2011 were selected and divided into two groups randomly(the treatment group and the comparison group),each one of 30 cases. All are treated with conventional western medicme for four weeks, and the treatment group are treated with Xin Tong Tai particles in addition. To observe the Angina symptoms, the Traditional Chinese medicine syndrome, the usage of nitroglycerin and the change of ECG before and after treatment, and compare indicators of blood lipid,hemorheology,NO,ET-1,TXB2,6-keto-PGF1αResults:The total effective rate of angina pectoris was 90.0% in the treatment group and 76.7% in the control group, there was a statistical difference between the two groups (P<0.05). The totle effective rate of Chinese medicine syndrome was 86.7% in treatment group and 70.0% in control group, there was a significant statistically difference between the two groups(p<0.05), which pointed out Xin Tong Tai particles is significantly better in improving traditional Chinese medical syndrome of Qi Zhi Xue Yu than western medicine. There was also a statistical difference between the two groups(p<0.05) in the usage of nitroglycerin. While the change of ECG before and after treatment had no difference. There was a statistical difference in decreasing the concentration of blood lipid (p<0.05) in the two groups. Both of groups improved hemorheology while with no statistical difference. The function of Endothelial and Platelet in all groups were improved, the level of NO,6-keto-PGF1αwas raised and ET-1,TXB2 was declined, there were statistical difference between the two groups (P>0.05),too.Conclusions:Xin Tong Tai particles is an effective prescription to the patients of stable angina pectoris with the syndrome of Qi Zhi Xue Yu. It can significantly improve Chinese medicine syndrome, relieve angina symptoms, raise the rate of decreasing and stopping glycerol trinitrate, and no adverse reactions was observed; It also can reduce the levels of lipid and hemorheology, improve the function of Endothelial and Platelet which is probably an impotant mechanism for treating.
