In order to simulate the disease diagnosis by feeling the pulse with traditional Chinese medicine, and promote the development of pulse objectively, this paper summarize the current research status of pulse objectification, including pulse transducer, probe the research status and pulses, analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of each existing device. Considering the disadvantages such as their few detection parts and low information, the device for detecting pulse information on Cun-Guan-Chi based on CCD image sensor is designed. The device includes image sensor, probe, graphic pattern, mechanical structure, air-filled institution. It can record the image of skin surface palpation place dynamic when the pulse jumps through the CCD image sensor by graphic pattern deformation, so the pulse information is recorded in the form of video. The device realized the Cun-Guan-Chi parts of pulse information synchronous collection, and can adjust the size of the different parts pulse-taking pressure. Because the size of pulse-taking pressure and the relative position between the participants'wrist and the probe are important for experimental results, it concerned that the probe most obvious on the pulse regional and pulse-taking pressure, in this paper the best pulse-taking position and best pulse-taking pressure indeed customized a detailed explanation. In order to prove this device has certain feasibility and clinical application value, using the pulse model of MM-3 type as experimental subject, pulse model arm is placed on the device backboard, the synchronous pulse image data of some typical pulse were collected from this device such as the normal pulse, the slippery pulse, the slow pulse and the soft pulse of Cun-Guan-Chi and so on. According to the characteristics of dynamic image data and graphic pattern, and according to the lens imaging principle the pulse waves were extracted by using the area method, then the 3D-pulse configuration was restructured and some features were extracted including the period, the frequency, the width, the length and the 2D power spectrum. Pregnant women slippery pulse data were collected with this device, the period, the frequency, the width, the length and the 2D power spectrum were also extracted. Comparing the features of the slippery pulse of pulse model with the slippery pulse of pregnant women, the results are anastomotic in the range of allowable error.Compared with the traditional devices, the device for detecting pulse on Cun-Guan-Chi which is using CCD image sensor can test more parts, realize Cun-Guan-Chi parts synchronous pulse data collection, and can adjust pulse-taking pressure, can simulate well to collect Chinese Medicine Diagnosis, can achieve pulse 3D configuration, more comprehensive pulse condition feature information, has some of the feasibility and value of clinical applications, This work laid a foundation for promoting the objective diagnosis and promoting the objectivity of the pulse.
