| Objective The purpose of this paper is to observe the therapeutic effects and safety of Danqi Bushen Huoxue Decocstion treatment combined with Lotensin on early diabetic nephropathy (DN), and to further investigate its mechanism.Methods 80 patients with early diabetic nephropathy were randomly divided into control group and treatment group, 40 cases of each group. On the basis of conventional medicine, the patients of the control group were given Lotensin, while the patients of the treatment group were given Danqi Bushen Huoxue Decocstion on the basis of the patients of the control group, 8 weeks for a course of treatment. Their clinical symptoms and related detection indicators in laboratory after treatment were evaluated and compared with those before treatment.Results The total therapeutic effects of the treatment group and control group were 87.5% and 62.5% respectively, the former showed better results than the control (P <0.01). Compared with the control group, the treatment group could better improve clinical symptoms, reduce the levels of urinary protein, improve blood glucose, and correct dyslipidemia(P <0.05 or P <0.01). No any adverse reactions were found in both groups.Conclusion Danqi Bushen Huoxue Decocstion treatment combined with Lotensin is a more effective and safe remedy for early diabetic nephropathy, and it's deserved the clinical expansion.
