Objectives: To evaluate and compare the clinical efficacy of two kinds of surgical procedure for hepatic hydatid. Methods: Data of 59 patients treated by two kinds of operative procedures were analysed and compared during three years in our hospital, including time consuming during operation , the amount of bleeding ,the hospital stay ,time for drainage, residual cavity infection , biliary fistula , in-situ recurrence etc. Results: The integrity of the membrane sac excision comparing with excision of internal sac, the time consuming during operation ,the amount of bleeding ,hospitalization days , the time for drainage had significant difference (P<0.05), There were statistical different in complication residual cavity infection ,in-situ recurrence(P<0.05),There were no statistical different in biliary fistula(P>0.05). Conclusion: In the radical surgical treatment of liver hydatid disease , the integrity of the capsular membrane extraction have advantages:trauma slightly, time for drainage shortly, complication less.
